1월에 Vraypattern이 출시되었네요. 예전에 테스트중이던 이미지를 올렸었는데 이제 정식으로 판매하는거같습니다. 마치 Vraydisplacement map과 비슷한거 같지만 재질과 디테일 면에서는 비교가 되질 않네요.. Geometry based "2d-displacement" like texture. Low memory usage, superfast rendering, unlimited number of copys. Geometry를 기본으로 "2d-displacement"처럼 텍스쳐로 활용한다고 합니다. 적은 메모리사용, 매우빠른 렌더링, 수많은 오브젝트도 빠르게 렌더링 한다고합니다. 예로, 위의 scene을 렌더링한다고하면 아래와같은 결과물을 얻게된다네요. 아직 많은 개선점이 필요한단계일듯 하나, 멀지않은 시기에 정말 획기적인 작업환경이 등장하지 않을까 기대됩니다.

3ds max, VRay, Photoshop

3Ds max, MaxwellRender, VRay.. 맨 위의 메인이미지는 Vray를 이용하여 렌더링하였고 총 5시간이 걸렸다고합니다. 모든 Scene을 완료하는데 약 2주가량 작업했다네요.
